I'm not the very best at critique.. But I'll give it a try (:
The structure of this piece over all is nice. Though, the face lacks a bit of symmetry. If you take a look at a real human, it usually has a face that is formed the same on both sides, right? (: So the chin should be a little bit more balanced.
I think you did a really great job on the hair and facial proportions! Though, one thing to keep in mind (if you want details to show) is to not let the hair of the character get in the way of the eyes. The lineart can be there, shining through the iris, but you could leave the eye-part of the bangs un-colored. ^_^
I really appreciate the little marking of the lower lip, and the side of the nose. It gives off a more "realistic feel" with those little details (: And if you want to make your piece even more realistic, you could add a little line, just above the upper part of the eye, to indicate the eye lid.
Good luck in your future art! (:
Thank you for the critique this character (Rose) Always has her left eye covered (still have not reveled why on DA yet ) for a reason though I do understand what you mean. I probably should have drawn both eyes even if the other doesn't show because of the hair. since posting this I have been slowly seeing the mistakes I have made and hope to fix them in future drawings. Your critique has also helped and think you again for critiquing
Oh o: No, I meant like,
the eye that IS showing (the left one)
shouldn't be covered by the bangs just as much ^_^/
I hope I wasn't too harsh 'v';
Glad if I could help (:
